Would you like to have the the best skin possible? Resolve to take better care of your skin this year by stepping up your home care regimen. Getting back to the basics with your skincare will help your skin be more beautiful, healthy and radiant! In talking with my clients, it amazes me that so many women go to bed with their makeup on! When we sleep our skin needs to be nourished to allow it to repair. In a recent Dermascope article, Laura McDermott says: “The main goal of a skin care regimen is to rebuild and protect the SC (stratum corneum) barrier, to allow repairs, and to improve recovery processes to maintain its structural and functional integrity. There is a cycle of steps to a healthy skin barrier, which will give you supple, radiant skin. The 5-step cycle is: cleanse, exfoliate, nourish, moisturize and protect.” Let’s begin with step # 1, cleansing: Cleanse your skin morning and night with the appropriate cleanser for your skin. Apply cleanser to moistened skin, and using small, circular motions with your fingertips, gently cleanse the entire face and neck area. Rinse thoroughly with tepid water and pat skin dry. To help you get started, Charisma Skin’s Cleansers will be 20% off for now through January 11th! Happy New Year to you and your skin!
