Sweet Potatoes are wrinkle fighters. They are filled with vitamin C, "which smoothes out wrinkles by stimulating the the production of collagen," according to a recent Men's Health article. A study done by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that people who consumed 4 milligrams of Vitamin C (about half of a small sweet potato) daily for 3 years decreased the appearance of wrinkles by 11 percent. Sweet potatoes are also loaded with Beta carotene which is a protective antioxidant that helps defend against the damage of sun exposure. With so many health benefits for your body and skin there is no reason to not grab these festively orange root vegetables.
